I finally got my car tuned CORRECTLY last night. Found out that the tune that was in the car when I got it was terrible. The timing was advanced to the point where the motor would have blown today if I ran it like that. I was kinda dissapointed cuz the car doesnt pull as hard now and I cant run as much boost, but now I can run it and its SAFE. Also found out that the car doesnt have a fuel pump in it so Im only running 19psi. So to clarify my mods, I have and 05 turbo, TBE, IC pipes, and p/p exhaust manifold.
My first run was terrible, I was waiting at the light so long my 2 step cut and hit rev limiter. So I dont even want to discuss what that time was.
Second run, terrible launch, the track was sticky as shit today.
Third launch, wasnt the best 60", and clutch started to slip at the top of 4th gear.
This is the third run.

Nice, good job on getting it dialed in. Not bad for what ya got in it. Soon as I get back from FL, i'm going to put in some work on mine and hit the track.

Psssshaw, going to the track instead of a meat packing event is always the right thing to do. A few (ok, about 800) DcEvoClubbers could learn that one thing from you!

wow that could have been a disaster, good thing you went to DTM. congrats on the new tune, just wait until you get that fuel pump/clutch and raise the boost. you will enjoy the car more than ever ;).

Yea, I dont think Im going with the big turbo setup this time. I wanna just run consistant LOW 11's with the stock turbo. I should be getting the clutch and FP within the next few weeks. Then cams and alky and Ill see what I run.

Unfortunately, that's a very unrealistic expectation. Very few people can even get close to those times on the stock turbo, and those who do usually are great drivers with tons of money in mods and weight reduction. It would be more realistic to shoot for consistent mid 11s (11.5-11.6), but it will still cost a lot and will require much better driving.

I'm not actually going for 11.5s - I was just saying that the mods I have now SHOULD be enough to go for 11.5s with great driving and 117-118mph traps. However, I only hit 115mph traps and didn't drive well. The best I could get with the current power I'm making would be low 11.8s with a better 60' and no botched shifts, but I doubt I'll get another chance near sea level on this car, so the only real goal to attain would be 11.999 at altitude.
