nice times. What's your setup? I was talking to Jordan the other day and he mentioned riding in your car and how it felt.

I lost count of how many times I saw 11.6 up there @ 100 mph with him on the brakes :D

Way to go, Joe. going from 12.0s and 11.9s down to an 11.2 has to feel good. You've always had power but had trouble getting it down. This wasn't even a good launch and you still ripped off an 11.2. You finally got your due!
PS. .500 is a perfect light, you were braking not breaking, and you didn't want them to THROW you out. :p
Joe, what's your set-up? You ditched the RNR 50 trim in favor of a DTM turbo kit didn't you? Nice times no matter what's under the hood. Looks like 10s are in your future come fall weather and a little better of a 60 foot.

pump gas too!

Pump gas means 93 only with no meth. Is that the case?

pump + meth.

Then don't try to refer to it as "pump gas." That's known as major douchebaggery. People love to try to sneak that in...don't be that guy.
Thanks everybody! For the compliments and grammer corrections. I was still pumped when making the original post..lol.
I did get rid of the RNR 50 trim. I was planning on still using that turbo with a DTM manifold. Before the mani was done I found a offer I couldn't refuse. Turbo has a slightly smaller wheel than a "normal" 35R. Also went from stock ecu to aem. This is also on a built 2.0 and DTM ported head and DTM spec cams. Originally had a long geared trans in as well. Went to the track a couple weeks ago and foud out that was not a good match for this motor. Engine wants to rev and the long gears were holding it back. Now have a Shep trans with normal gears. I'm not going to post the Dyno graph as those threads seem to go to crap lately. Besides you can't argue track #'s.
After the 11.26 run they sent me back to the tec line. I was able to convince them to let me stay. They said "don't do it again". So from then on I figured if I could see a 1.6X 60 I'd go for it. It would have been worth it to get tossed for a 10. Closest it got was a 1.71. I was torn wether I should try it or not. At the last second I hit the brakes. Almost catastrophic. 11.30 @ 108. I should have been tossed anyway so I should have just kept going. When I came to pick up my slip there was a young girl giving them out. Must not have known what to look for and didn't say a word.

Yeah, man, the 11.26 was on a 1.81, so you should have ridden a 1.71 for the gold. It would have been an 11.0-11.1 probably.
Im glad you found perfect tranny with that dormant power, but i still beat you that one time...lol.

Great job man, I cannot wait until mine is finished, get broke in and head to the track. I am waiting on my head to come from the machine shop and get put back together. It is in peices at the moment. Right now I am driving granny's spare car...still a silver Mitsubishi..just a 1998 Galant!! LOL

Thats exactly what I was afraid of. I didn't want to get thrown out for a 11 anything. A 10 would have been worth it.

Yes you did! If I could get 1.6 all the time like you, I would have had a 10 for sure.

Eh, I think it's still worth it to go all out. You don't hit 1.6 60's often (if ever), so a 1.71 would have been worth going all out!

Probably right. I do have a 1.6 to my credit. I hit a 1.67......once...lol
Any pictures under the hood, Joe?
These are when it was still a work in progress. I'll get some complete ones.

hey nice runs....badass car, and nice pics. can i see the finished product of turbo installed. was their clearance for turbo exhuast port or was it rotated or did you uses a 1/2 size radiator. oh, and why was trying capitol to kick you out for running 11's. 136 mph or so requires a certified license, roll-cage & parachute. i've seen manyn guys run that 11's - mids w/o anymore requirements except a helmet. "clarify this for me if you would since i plan on running these numbers real soon!" cars at ams getting new valve seats for leaking cylinder #3. thanks, and take care. wayne

At least NHRA. From a quick search, it looks like it applies to IHRA too.
