Being that our Formula D car is sponsored by Exedy, I'm sure that we can work something out for you.
Best bet is to call in and talk to Robbie, as he has more knowledge on our relationship with Exedy than I do. (He handles the sponsorship stuff and he talks to our Exedy rep.)

The single costs that much? The twin isn't much more, is it?

Hmm, that might seem like a lot, but if the Exedy single is just a single disk clutch, I don't think it would be worth $700 more than the ACT HDSS. Is there something special about the Exedy single? I know the Exedy twin price includes a new flywheel and TOB, so perhaps the single does as well?

If it's something your willing to try, get the Hyperdrive C2 6 puck, that is what i have in my car and it is very nice, I have over 100 passes on it and it is still holding strong. You can get them at Extreme Motorsports

Yes, the single also includes the flywheel and TOB.

well i haven't been able to verify this but when i spoke to my Exedy rep last week he said that the single kit had been discontinued and that you could only buy the carbon now and that is about as much as the twin.
The single doesn't necessarily have anything special about it. It's basically the clutch kit and flywheel. There are plenty of other good alternatives out there. Spec makes some great setups that we have installed on your fellow board members cars. Competition makes some nice clutches too and if you have NO OTHER OPTIONS then ACT is ok too.
Any of the other brands i mentioned could be priced with a clutch and flywheel for a great value.
