i don't like ACT
however i have been running the RPS Turbo Max which holds up to 600wtq, pedal feel is almost stock sligtly harder, and it is twin carbon so you don't have to worry about glazing it even with redline launches, not that i recommend that.

How streetable is the Exedy twin? Pedal pressure, noise, and slippage in traffic? I'm looking into clutches too, and that one is on the top of my list. For the amount of money that will be spent on installation labor, I would prefer to get something that will last and perform, but not destroy my drivability in traffic.
Anyone locally here have an Exedy twin? I've only seen one car in person with one installed. When it was idling in neutral it was very loud, like the throw-out bearing was bad. Apparently, that's normal though. Not sure if that would bother you.

they are kind of noisy but in all honesty most times we have seen EVO's make that kind of power with a regular single disc clutch the tranny has started to have issues. When i spoke to Chris at competition clutch about this in detail he agreed that with that much power you really have to have a twin disc to insure the tranny holds up well.
The twin disk is worth every penny.
David Buschur's car had twin disk with HD pressure plate if i remember right and it was very streetable. It didn't feel too different but it was noisy and grabbed like crazy. If you want to make it more streetable, you can always go with Carbon Exedy Twin disk..
Since the labor is not cheap, I would get one nice clutch, expensive if needed to be and not worry about it for a long time
They said strong clutch might hold longer but apparently theres increase risk of differential
failure... any truth about this?
