i just got off the phone with mitsu and talked to some high manager about re-reviewing my fading brembos and they said there goin to take a look further into it and then i called brembo direct and spooke with a rep from there and he said that he has heard of this problem that alot of people have been calling in and asking if there was anything they could do and the answer is NO but i did talk to him and he said that everyone in the forum should gang up and write mitsu or call them and bitch them out all at the same time lol and maybe then they will do something about it but he did say mitsu is aware of it and they are trying to come up with a conclusion to this but still have not so right now i am a very unhappy evo owner with fading brembo

HOLY RUN-ON SENTENCE, BATMAN!!!!
Good luck, man. You didn't say whether you needed new pads, you boiled your fluid, etc. (all common reasons for brakes fading).

I think he meant the red color is fading on the calipers.
If they are fading although brake fluid never even touched your calipers, they have to replace those under warranty.. but again that's mitsubishi so maybe they got faded because of the high boost
What part was fading? The calipers, or the amount of braking force?

that actual caliper, the red color. My left front one is completely pink now

Marshall, do you have any vids from Extreme? I was hoping to show the lack of engine movement thanks to my motor mount. I didn't get to see it on Sunday, but at MachV yesterday, I got to see it in all it's glory. The damn motor barely flenched after Al let off at 7500rpm on a 350whp pull...

Clear coat cracking off the caliper is common on the 03 Evo. Almost every 03 customer we have has this problem. Mitsubishi is extremely unfriendly when it comes to fixing this problem. 2 customers are currently about to go to court - mitsu is / will not fix the problem even through the arbitration process.

Actually, it depends on the dealers. There are many stories on EvoM where people had theirs fixed with no question at their local dealer, while there are many more stories of dealers telling people to take a hike (same with the wing clearcoat deteriorating). I'd go to Alexandria Mitsu and show them along with a ton of threads printed out from EvoM showing how common the problem is. Be sure to print out threads where people got it fixed under warranty.

I'm having the same problem with my 03, I called Bob at Alex Mitsu and he told me to bring the car in. I might stop by on Friday and let them check it out.
