Update:

The apache server was being attacked by someone in Pakistan who was causing it to consume 100% CPU which made this and other sites unavailable, This matter has been handled and hopefully we're be trouble free for a little bit :)

well you can go to pakistan and kick this person's ass, i found out what was happening. it appears... from my looking into it, that someone was attacking apache. and making it take 100%. Here is his info, i got a block on his entire isp.

I'm from Lahore, Pakistan and I use worldcall...the isp that you have blocked. Right now I'm accessing this site through a proxy server.

I recently joined these forums, but ever since I registered, the site wouldnt open at my end. I thought that your server might be down. I tried daily from my home to open the site, but was unsuccessful and assumed that your server would be down for a long time.

Then after a few days I just happened to open the site from a friend's place, and I found out that it was working alright. I could access it from other places too, and upon asking various of my friends to check if the site is opening at their end, I got positive responses from all of them.

Thus I found out that it was only not opening on my isp (worldcall). But I still did not know the reason...that is until today...I just happened to open this thread and find out the reason.

I fully agree with you that the person who attacked your apache server is an asshole and I think he should be hung naked upside down by his balls.

But why have you blocked the entire isp? What have I done do deserve this? Please, its a request, I beg of you to unblock worldcall so that I can access your site normally.

Although I can access it through a proxy server, but it is no fun...firstly its very slow sometimes...and secondly I cannot download the videos off your site, using the proxy server as the downloads just disconnect after some time. Its all really very annoying, and the proxy server doesnt even support resuming the downloads, so I have to begin downloading all over again.

I'm a big fan of Evo, and I really want to download some videos off your site. Please, its my humble request that you unblock Worldcall.

I have waited for a long time now...suffered a lot...just because of one senseless person who attacked your server.....please dont keep me waiting no more.

If I ever meet that person (I'm in the same city as him and the place where he lives is not very far from mine) I shall make it a point to spit on his face.

Why are you making us all pay for that one guy's actions whom we dont even know?

Please listen to my request and unblock worldcall.

I'm desperate. I really want to download those videos....

Pakistan's Main class B has been blocked, however i cannot remove it as the number of fraud, hacknig attempts and other malcious attempts from pakistan. I am sorry for this inconvience.

But that wasn’t the reply I was expecting. I thought, after so much begging and moaning, you’d finally lift the ban. But you just waved me off by replying with a mere 2 lines.

Is there no other way for you to secure your site against hackers other than banning an entire isp? Why are you making people who have nothing to do with a hacker pay the price? Can I ask you for just granting me access to the site, if that’s possible? I mean you can maintain your ban, but isn’t it possible for you to just grant access to a single user, i.e. me?

Every internet site is prone to hackers, but I havent heard of any site, except for yours, taking such drastic measures such as blocking majority of the traffic from a country.

Good and bad people are in every religion, in every country. Its not just Pakistanis. You cant prevent internet crime by blocking the entire internet traffic from a country. Hackers will still find a way around that, if they want to.

You’re causing injustice by restricting access to innocent people just because of some mindless hackers.

Seriously, give it a thought.

I would request you once again to do something and allow me access to the site.

Your ISP has failed to resolve the issues after numerous emails. Should you have anymore questions on this please contact your ISP. This is a private community and I make no money here, and run this site out of MY pocket, therefore it being my itellectual property, I have the right to do what i feel is appropriate. I do not have time, to consistantly block numerous ips from an UNRESPONSIBLE ISP. If you private msg me your specific IP, i will check it to my logs, and if you do not fall within the IP range i will allow YOUR IP through only. Your ISP is at fault here for not responding to my emails. Constant harrassment of me is not going to solve this issue.

I hope this satisifies your requirement of more than 2 lines. Sending me PM's with links to posts that I have already read, isn't the answer. Again, send me your IP and i'll compair to my lists.

i appreciate you running this site out of your own pocket, but here's a suggestion that you could proposed to the evo club members.

Every month, for those who use the site daily/weekly, if they want to contribute $1 to the "club funds" to keep this site running. I would be happy to donate my buck to help ease your pocket. If you get like 30 members to donate, that's $30/month to pay for the hosting, etc...

Just a suggestion, but I' think it might be a good idea. :D

We have dynamic ips over here and not static; should I still pm you my present Ip? How would that help when it would just change after some time? If you need my mac address, i can pm you that?

Can you please tell me what exactly are you mailing my isp and whats it that you want them to resolve from their end? If you mention it here, i can personally contact them and ask them about it.
