I'm buying a 4g93 Intake Manifold for my Lancer next week and I need to take it to have it ported, as I have no clue how the heck to do it my self and would be afraid to muck it up. Any suggestions? I won't be needing it anytime soon as I am going to wait to put it on after I get some phenolic spacers. Thanks in advance guys.

You can take it to any machine shop or I would try to give some of our sponsors a call as I believe some have the capabilities to port it for you. As far as install I would be happy to help as I have done it myself before. So just call up N1te and myself and we could help...

Awesome man. I figure I'll call up one of the sponsers on Monday and see what I can find out. Do you happen to know how large I should port the manifold over stock so I know what to tell them?

The Intake Manifold is LivelyJay's, so I have to go pick it up. He's giving me a hell of a deal on it. Can't wait to get it ported and installed with Boe's phenolic spacers.

Hey Jotune, so now I'm thinking about doing this myself, but I need to know how to do it. I have a dremmel tool but I need to know how to port. Did you do it yourself? If you did did you happen to know of any reference guides online or elsewhere where I could get some info on how to do it? I'm not even sure of how they measure the openings...

I bought mine already done but you can open the TB port up to 60mm and a good guide line to use for the ports would be the gasket outline and grind it down just shy of it to give the gasket some room. If you want when I get my car back this week we can get together and I will show you. But if you go to a shop I would recomend just getting it matched to your cylinder head for a much cleaner and unrestricted flow.

That would be great man. I still have to pick it up from Livelyjay later this week, so maybe we could get together this weekend if you're not busy.

I think the IM is aluminum so a dremmel should cut through it. And I have two dremmels. Another question would be if I plan on getting those spacers wouldn't I need to make sure they fit the ports...

Also my military privilages end in three days, as I turn 23, hello medical insurance payments. So I'll need either you or Frank to get me on base for the install if you guys are still down to help me with that.

Yeah no prob I can help with that. And your dremel will have no problem with trhe IM because it is aluminum and aluminum is soft just buy a couple extra bits just in case.

I also threw a CEL yesterday most likely from my O2 sensor so I need to put those spacers on the second O2 sensor.

I have an O2 simulator you can buy off of me. It simulates the second O2 sensor and will get rid of your CEL. All the 2nd O2 does is tell the ECU that the pre-cat is working. I can install it for you too, really simple.

See you this afternoon for the IM sale
