Its been quite hectic here at the shop lately and we really haven't had much time to post about some of the specials we are running. In due time we will be catching up and getting everything out onto the forum for all to view.

For this thread I wanted to post up our forum special for the EVO X.
As many of you know we have pioneered the lifetime tuning rate for some time. For those who have opted for it in the past they can testify that it has given their pockets quite a break from having to worry about paying for dyno time everytime they want to tweek some parts of the map.
I just don't believe that we should charge for a few strokes of the keyboard when you have repeat customers that clearly support your business.

EVO X's are abit more complicated in their structure and therefore are a bit more extensive in regards to dyno time. So for now we are offering a lifetime tune for $450. All updates or retunes are free with modest upgrades. What does that mean? Until or unless we have to dial in larger injectors, larger turbo upgrade or extensive cam R&D the retunes will always be free. No setup fees, no A/F charge, nothing. Once you get tuned by us your life is made easy.
Lets give an example:
You have a stock(ish) X and need a tune to clean up the power band and give the car a bit of a push. You schedule an appointment, pay your fee and get tuned. Few weeks later you upgrade to a better flowing exhaust and intake and you need to be retuned again...You call, make the appointment and you get a retune. Difference is No Bill!
6 months later you add a FMIC, need a tune..... you get the point. No more billing.
Second scenario, if we have to dial in some larger injectors and it will eat some dyno time that normally would require a bit more configuration that normal... Usually the fee is between $50 -$100. Depends on how much time we have to spend and how much your cams, turbo etc are playing nice.

Anyway if anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them for you.

That's a great deal, Nick. DTM has been running this deal for Evo VIII and IX's for years. And Nick knows his tuning.

I know it's busy. I've called 4 times within the passed two weeks with no luck. It's just that my SES light keeps coming on so I need to get it taken care of soon.

I'll call later today.

You live in DC? What days are you able to swing by the shop?

Danny,
When you called last monday to schedule for thursday, I told you specifically that we are on a 2 week backlog. I was going to call you ont he first available day I had. Its been 8 business days since then. I am doing my best to get you in as soon as I can
the fastest way would be for you to drop the car off. Unfortunately I undertsand your situation and it is your daily, so that is not possible.

Coming on here makes it seem as if we have not spoken. That is not the case and very far from reality. I don't have much time to police internet forums, but it has been brought to my attention and I am trying to take care of it.

There are many other ways to handle a situation. You should try and schedule appointments BEFORE doing all the mods on the car knowing it would cause drivability issues.

Let me see how my day goes today and you can call me in the am for scheduling on the weekend.

I understand it's busy and my post wasn't intended to agitate you. I also work for a very busy shop and some customers bitch and bitch about waiting. I don't mind the wait. I just want to set up an appointment :)

I will call in the am!

There are other shops that tune the X, they just don't advertise it much. Where are you located?

All im going to say is that you can get more power and a safer car by going somewhere else other than DTM. There have been plenty of people that have had problems with their cars on here, AFTER going to DTM. But its your car, do what you want.

It was tuned by DTM. Car was horrible after I got the re tune done. Car was throwing multiple codes. Me and limp mode became very good friends. Car was knocking.....the list goes on my friend
