Hey Allz,

My wife and I hold an event @ MIR every year to raise moneyz for a charitable organization. This year we are sponsoring the TSA (©Tourette Syndrome Association, Inc.) in hopes to donate alil more to help with development of new practices.

I open the gates @ MIR to all DCEVO club members :cool:

$15 to watch
$30 to race

The gates open at 9am, and I have rented the track till 2pm.... Last year I did 23 passes down the quarter... my best time was a 13.4 :o ( I don't know how to launch, so I just granny the clutch).

Trophies!!! I got two trophies that I want to give out.
1. Fastest EVO
2. Best in Show

Just found out I may have a free pass for Saturday. Could be a good weekend. Capital on Friday, MIR on Saturday, Mason Dixon on Sunday.

MIR is one of the best if not the best quater mile track on the East Coast. They have the show "pinks" there a couple times and NOPI comes threw I think twice a year. There is a sport compact race goin on sept. 7, 2008 and import vs domestic in november. Its also right next to the Famous Budscreek motocross tracks.

we could do the timing belt at MIR before you rip it down the track??.....:D

If it was a quick job, it would be cool if some people could help me do it at my house since I live so close to MIR. Unforunately, it's not. I just have to save up the money to get it done. :(

:o sorry mang...... but how hard is installing a new timming belt? (I honestly don't know) There will be certified mechanics there, so I don't see the timming belt being that much of a hassle???.... Last yr. we had 3 people snap their axle, 45mins later they were back on the track.:p

I will say it's 45 minutes. I live in Port Tobacco and it takes me almost a half an hour to get to the track.

Also a timing belt is a b!tch on the Evo. It's not something I would want to change at the track.

Does anyone know where the court house is in Upper Marlboro???... I'm 5mins from the court house, if that helps.:-X

Well, it's up in the air, last year there were times when there was no-one going down the track, and others when there was maybe about 6 cars lined up to run.....

Like I said, I was holding/running the event and still got about 23 runs that day..... I'd say if your lookin to get moar than 10 runs in, this Saterday you need to be at MIR:D:cool:

That link says 4 runs maximum. Also it says sanction n/a. Does that mean they wont throw you out if you go 11.49 or faster and dont have a roll bar?

It was a good time. I finally broke into the 12 second zone.12.95 to be exact. Not bad for a stock car... It only cost me a transfer case. Damn thing was screaming the whole way home...soo i'm in desperate need of a transfer case.

If anyone has an extra one laying around I would greatly appreciate it.

OUCH! I saw you running and the car was strong. The Evo X's really seem weak so far with the launch ability. Way to rep the older generations. ;)

Thanks, but your car was just plain nasty. To be box stock and run consistent 12s, it's a monster.

My EVO X clutch did not like being launched at all. I did some runs without paying attention to turning off the ASC and just killed the start. When i finally started figuring out how to launch it i ran a 13.88 and was told i needed a helmet and i didnt have one so i stopped.

If i remember right (correct me) this is an annual event, which means not only for good cause but also if you want "test n tune" without wait, this is it. heck, you can run as many as you can until your car breaks.
